Basketball for All: Hoops, Hope, and Unity

The Darius Mayfield Foundation Mercer County Basketball Clinics are a series created to help develop and nurture the basketball skills of Mercer County's youth through workouts and games, with professional basketball player La’Keisha Sutton and her foundation Fan Favorite Club. We are so excited about partnering with La'Keisha and bringing in a much needed athletic program to the city of Trenton.
La'Keisha was born and raised in Trenton, NJ. In her younger years, she spent most of her days playing basketball at the West Ward Recreation Center. In high school she led her team to many victories. After college La'Keisha played professional basketball overseas in Taiwan, Finland, Ecuador, Germany, and Bulgaria. After that, she joined the Harlem Globetrotters in 2018. She is one of a kind and will bring her skill and love of basketball to the youth of Trenton.

Our goal with these clinics is not only to teach basketball skills for the youth in Mercer County, but we also want to provide a positive experience for our youth. We will focus on fundamental skills of good sportsmanship, leadership, camaraderie, discipline, and team building exercises through sports as we bring families together in support of their children and community.
In addition to this July 30th Clinic, we will, throughout the year, feature multiple free clinics that will serve as the foundation for the upcoming Mercer County-wide basketball league. Both foundations are working together to create this exciting opportunity for the youth. Sign up now for the July Clinic using the button above and if you are interested, sign up to reserve your spot in the Mercer County-wide basketball league!
