Kezia Tunnell

Kezia Tunnell brings extensive business acumen, and non-profit experience to the Darius Mayfield Foundation.  

 

In 2011, she co-founded Tunnell Enterprises. Tunnell Enterprises operates in multiple states, specializing in large commercial builds and remodels, partnering with Walmart, Sam's Club, Academy Sports, Home Depot, Dollar Tree, AutoZone, Foot Locker, and other commercial businesses.

 

Kezia also is firmly committed to the community, serving on numerous advocacy boards promoting education, family and community reunification, community development, and human trafficking awareness.

 

Frontline, Kezia works with organizations that encourage and guide teen parents within the Latino community, as well as a number of advocacy groups. Promoting awareness for life causes, Kezia has managed operations for the nonprofit Gold Monarch Healing Center that promoted awareness for life causes. In 2017, she became the Director of Operations for Project 7 Billion, which collaborated with the nonprofit Create In Me, to combine art and identity training, planning for events worldwide. During Kezia's tenure, she expanded the scope of Project 7 Billion by partnering with other nonprofits to implement its Roar program throughout the US and Israel. In 2019, she began writing and producing public service announcements for political and social advocates, bringing awareness to topics such as immigration, human trafficking, minority inclusion, and other hot-topic issues.

 

In 2022, Kezia Tunnell ran for Congress in Virginia's 8th district. She had the privilege of working on a grassroots campaign and learning the ins and out of running for office. After running, she joined other congressional campaigns as a strategist and executive counsel, allowing Kezia to become entrenched in politics. She is now passionate about getting everyday Americans more involved in the political arena and training others to share their passions about the issues that affect their communities.
